Iksan: what to see and do

A rail-junction city with Baekje-era royal ruins, a landscaped garden and quiet village paths.
Known for
- Wanggung-ri Site, a Baekje palace ruin, UNESCO-listed
- Mireuksa Temple Site, with Korea's oldest stone pagoda
- Agape Garden, a landscaped garden
What to do
Walk the grounds of Wanggung-ri, where a five-story stone pagoda stands among the ruins, then see the Mireuksa site nearby. Add Agape Garden for a gentler green stop.
Tip: Iksan Station is a major KTX stop, so it is easy to add to a Jeonju or Gunsan trip. Both ruins are outdoors, so pick a dry day.
