Jeonju Hanok Village: what to see and do
A large neighbourhood of tiled-roof hanok houses, where people stroll in rented hanbok and snack their way down the lanes.
Known for
- Gyeonggijeon Shrine and its royal portrait hall
- Jeondong Cathedral, red brick next to the hanok
- Jeonju bibimbap, the city's signature dish
What to do
Walk the lanes, try street snacks, and have bibimbap for lunch. Climb up to Omokdae for a view over the hanok rooftops.
Tip: Come early or stay into the evening, when the day-trip crowds thin out.
