Naju: what to see and do

A calm river city on the Yeongsan, with an old gate in town, ancient burial mounds and a famous bowl of beef soup.
Known for
- Naju gomtang, the city's clear beef soup
- Neureoji deck over a U-shaped bend of the Yeongsan
- Bogam-ri tombs, large ancient burial mounds
What to do
Start at Seoseongmun, the old west gate, and have gomtang nearby. Then head out to the Neureoji deck for the river view, and the metasequoia lane at the Forest Research Institute in autumn.
Tip: The sights are far apart, so a taxi or rental car saves time. Autumn is the best season for the metasequoia lane.
