A mid-size city in western Gangwon, best known for a canyon with suspension bridges and its paper tradition.

What to do
Cross the suspension bridge and walk the gorge at Sogeumsan. Then see Hanji paper-making in town, or take a trail in Chiaksan.
Tip: Sogeumsan has long stairs and open bridges. Wear shoes with grip and avoid windy days.
