A deep valley county of winding rivers, tied to the sad story of the young king Danjong.

- Hanbando landform on the Seogang river, shaped like Korea
- Cheongnyeongpo, where King Danjong lived in exile
- Jangneung, King Danjong's royal tomb, a UNESCO site
What to do
See the Hanbando landform from the viewpoint, then visit Cheongnyeongpo and Jangneung for the Danjong story. Seopdari Village is a nice riverside stop.
Tip: Sights are spread along winding country roads, so allow a full day and use a car.
