Gokseong: what to see and do

A small county on the Seomjin River, known for an old-style train line, a mountain temple and quiet riverside villages.
Known for
- Seomjingang Train Village, with old-style train rides
- Dorimsa, a temple below Dongaksan
- Dongaksan, a rocky 735 m mountain above the river
What to do
Ride the old-style train at Seomjingang Train Village, then take a taxi to Dorimsa and walk up its valley. The rural villages along the river are good for quiet walks.
Tip: The sights are a short drive apart, so plan on a taxi. Autumn colours make Dongaksan and Dorimsa most scenic.
