Buan: what to see and do

A coastal county on the Byeonsan peninsula, with sea cliffs, a layered rock shore and long pine beaches.
Known for
- Chaeseokgang, layered sea cliffs on the west coast
- Byeonsan Beach and Gosapo Beach, edged with pines
- Sujeongdang, a seaside shrine near the red cliffs
What to do
Walk the shore at Chaeseokgang to see its layered rock wall, then visit Sujeongdang on the cliffs nearby. Beaches such as Byeonsan and Gosapo are good for a sunset.
Tip: Check the tide table before visiting Chaeseokgang, since the rocks are best seen at low tide.
