Pyoseon & Seongeup Folk Village: what to see and do

A quiet south-east corner of Jeju with a wide sandy beach and a village that keeps its traditional island houses.
Known for
- Seongeup Folk Village, with thatched houses and stone walls
- Pyoseon Haevichi Beach, wide and shallow
- Jeju Folk Village Museum
What to do
Walk the lanes of Seongeup Folk Village to see thatched roofs and black basalt walls, then spend time on the broad sand of Pyoseon Beach. Jeju Folk Village Museum adds more island history.
Tip: Buses connect both places, but slowly and rarely. A taxi or car is far better for covering Seongeup and Pyoseon in one day.
