A quiet east-coast city with a huge cave, small fishing ports and a pavilion above a river.

- Hwanseon Cave, a large limestone cave in the hills

What to do
Eat snow crab by the port, walk up to Jukseoru above the river, and visit Hwanseon Cave. Mungam and Wonpyeong beaches are quiet in summer.
Tip: Hwanseon Cave stays cool all year, so bring a light jacket even in summer.
