What's on and what to see
- Chuseok, the harvest festival (lunar calendar), falls in September or early October: three days off, many shops close, trains and flights sell out, palaces are often free.
- Silver grass starts to turn on Jeju's volcanic hills (oreum).
- Comfortable weather for city walks and hiking again.
- Outdoor concerts and festivals return to the parks.
What to pack
Short sleeves with a light jacket for the evening.
Crowds and prices
Calm, except Chuseok week: book trains and hotels early if your dates touch it.
