Haenam: what to see and do
The southwestern tip of the peninsula, with a famous temple, mountain trails and Korea's southernmost mainland point.
Known for
- Ttangkkeut, the southern end of the Korean mainland
- Daeheungsa, a UNESCO-listed mountain temple
- Dalmagogo, a walking trail around Dalmasan with small hermitages
What to do
Visit Daeheungsa in its forest on Duryunsan, then travel south to Ttangkkeut for sea views at the end of the peninsula. If you like walking, try part of the Dalmagogo trail.
Tip: Haenam is a long way south, so plan a full day or an overnight stay. The Ttangkkeut area is windy, so bring a layer.
