A small county in the south of Jeonbuk, known across Korea for gochujang chili paste and slow village life.

- Sunchang Fermentation Theme Park, about gochujang and fermented food
- Guiraejeong, a pavilion first built in 1457
- Hunmongjae site, an old place of study
What to do
Learn about gochujang and other fermented foods at the Fermentation Theme Park, and taste dishes made with it. Then see the Guiraejeong pavilion and the nearby Yeonggwangjeong in town.
