Yeongyang: what to see and do

A very quiet mountain county where a white birch forest and a classic scholar garden make for a slow day out.

What to do
Walk the trail under the white birches in Subi. Then see Seoseokji and the centre on Eumsik Dimibang, the oldest cookbook written in Hangul.
Tip: Buses are very few, so plan to arrive by car or taxi. The area is remote, so bring water and snacks.
