Andong (city and countryside): what to see and do

The heart of Confucian Korea, where scholar academies, old temples and a river landscape sit outside a mid-sized city.
Known for
- Byeongsan Seowon, a UNESCO-listed academy
- Bongjeongsa, a UNESCO-listed mountain temple
- Andong jjimdak, braised chicken with glass noodles
What to do
Visit Byeongsan Seowon by the Nakdong River, then eat jjimdak in the city. Hahoe Village, nearby, has its own card.
Tip: The sights are spread across the countryside, so plan a taxi or rental car and keep the city for dinner.
