Gyeongju Hwangnidan-gil & Daereungwon: what to see and do

Old hanok lanes turned into cafes and shops, beside grassy royal tombs that look like soft green hills.
Known for
- Hwangnidan-gil hanok cafes and shops
- Daereungwon Tomb Complex and Cheonmachong
- Hwangnam-ppang, the sweet red bean pastry of Gyeongju
What to do
Walk through the Daereungwon tomb park, go inside Cheonmachong, then stroll Hwangnidan-gil for cafes and a Hwangnam-ppang snack.
Tip: Evenings are lovely here when the tombs and hanok are lit, and day crowds have gone.
From Seoul: KTX 2 h to Singyeongju Station, then bus about 40 min
