Pohang Buk-gu: what to see and do

A steel port city on the East Sea, with a long beach, a clifftop park and a walkway that hangs over the coast.
Known for
- Yeongildae Beach and its rose garden
- Hwanho Park and the 333 m Space Walk
- Gicheongsan Botanical Garden in Cheongha
What to do
Walk from Yeongildae Beach up to Hwanho Park, then cross the Space Walk for views of the bay and the steelworks. Try mulhoe, Pohang's cold raw fish dish.
Tip: The Space Walk can close in bad weather, so check the sky first. Hwanho Park is a good spot for sunrise.
