Jongmyo Shrine

Jongmyo is the royal ancestral shrine of the Joseon dynasty, where the spirit tablets of past kings and queens are enshrined and rites are still performed. Its long main hall and the nearby Yeongnyeongjeon hall are the main sights, and guided tours explain the ceremonies.
