A county on the east side of Jirisan, with stone-walled villages, mountain valleys and the birthplace of a famous monk.

What to do
Walk Namsa-ri's stone-wall lanes and old Yi family house, then cool off at Daepo Forest, where two valleys meet.
Tip: Daepo Forest is a summer playground where locals swim, and it fills up on weekends. Go on a weekday if you can.
