Cheonan Seobuk-gu: what to see and do
A newer, busier part of Cheonan, with quiet historic monuments tucked into the countryside.
Known for
- Cheonheungsaji five-story stone pagoda, from the Goryeo period
- Stele of Bongseon Honggyeongsa, an old Goryeo monument
- National Mangbyangui Dongsan, a memorial for overseas Koreans
What to do
Seobuk-gu is for short heritage stops. See the pagoda at Cheonheungsaji, then the memorial park. For the main Cheonan sights, go to Dongnam-gu.
Tip: Sights are scattered across the countryside, so a car or taxi is the practical choice.
From Seoul: KTX about 35 min
