Insadong: what to see and do

One long street of traditional teahouses, calligraphy shops and craft stores, with an old-fashioned feel in the middle of Seoul.
Known for
- Insadong-gil, the main street of galleries and craft shops
- Ssamziegil, a spiral shopping courtyard
- Jogyesa Temple, a short walk from the main street
What to do
Stroll Insadong-gil, browse ceramics, stationery and hanji paper goods, and stop at a teahouse. Then visit Jogyesa Temple nearby.
Tip: Side alleys behind the main street have quieter teahouses. Check the label if you want a Korean-made souvenir.
