Namhae German Village & Daraengi Village: what to see and do

A hillside of red-roofed German-style houses facing the sea, and a seaside village of stacked rice terraces.
Known for
- Namhae German Village, built for returning Korean workers
- Daraengi Village rice terraces above the sea
- Namhae garlic, a local specialty
What to do
Visit the German Village for its coastal views, then continue south to Daraengi Village to walk the terraces down to the water.
Tip: A car or taxi makes this much easier, since the two villages are far apart and bus links are limited.
From Seoul: Express bus about 4 h 30 from Seoul to Namhae
