Dongducheon: what to see and do

A northern town at the foot of Soyosan, known for its autumn colours and a temple said to date to the seventh century.

What to do
Hike the trail through the Soyosan tourist area up to Jajaeam. Nolja Forest and the Tapdong recreation area suit families.
Tip: Go in late October for the foliage, and expect crowds on weekends.
