Taean: what to see and do

A long, ragged west-coast peninsula of beaches, pine forests and small fishing ports.
Known for
- Anmyeondo island, with beaches and a pine forest
- Gumae Port, a small harbour known for sunrise
- Deureuni Port, a quiet fishing harbour
What to do
Pick a beach, then watch the light at one of the small ports like Deureuni or Gumae. Anmyeondo's pine forest is an easy walk. Taean works best with a car.
Tip: Autumn is crab season along this coast, and the sea air gets cold early in the evening.
From Seoul: Bus about 2 h 30
