Gamcheon Culture Village: what to see and do

Pastel houses stacked up a hillside above the sea, with steep stairs, murals and little galleries between them.
Known for
- Painted stair-step houses on the hillside
- The Little Prince and the Fox statue
- Small galleries, craft shops and cafes in the alleys
What to do
Follow the alleys and stairs uphill, look for the Little Prince statue and the rooftop views, and stop at a cafe terrace. Plan on a slow couple of hours.
Tip: Arrive in the morning to avoid crowds. Wear comfortable shoes, since the lanes are steep and uneven.
From Seoul: KTX 2 h 40 to Busan, then subway Line 1 and a village bus, about 1 h
